Mile High Computer Resource Organization (MICRO) is an IBM PC Compatible User Group. MICRO is a non-profit volunteer 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, educational organization. MICRO meets the last Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Lloyd G. Clements Community Center in Lakewood, except in November and December, when meeting days vary. MacinTech Users Group meets on the second Tuesday of each month in the south Denver area. Members range from beginners to experts with the very active Multimedia SIG focusing on the practical use of multimedia software for the Mac. The SIG meets on the fourth Thursday at Park Meadows Mall. Membership is just $12 a year. The Denver Area Access Users Group (DAAUG) welcomes Access users from novice to professionals and helps get the most out of Access through sharing current methods and techniques. Society for Technical Communication Rocky Mountain Chapter educates the Colorado community on the value of technical communication. Drawing members from the diverse professional fields of publishing, education, engineering and science, the STC is the largest organization serving the technical communication field. Colorado Linux Users & Enthusiasts (CLUE) is the best source in Denver for information about the GNU/Linux operating system. Meetings are held in the Denver Tech Center area on the second Tuesday each month, and in the North Metro area at the DeVry University Westminster Campus on the fourth Monday. Denver Apple Pi is the oldest Apple/Mac user group in the Denver area, meeting at the Consolidated Mutual Water District Building at 12700 W. 27th in Lakewood.
