Artist's Guidelines

If your style is deemed suitable for publication in ComputorEdge, you may be contacted for a future assignment. Art assigned for publication can be e-mailed, or submitted on a CD (formatted for an Apple Computer) along with a hard copy for proofing. All art should be generated via Adobe Illustrator (EPS format) or Adobe Photoshop (EPS, JPG or TIFF format). Photoshop files must have a minimum resolution of 200 Pixels-Per-Inch. Keep in mind that cover art files will be converted to CMYK format for printing purposes, for instance: JPG files in RGB mode.


Rights and Compensation

We buy First North American Serial Rights, as well as electronic publishing rights for our online magazines.

Cover Art: (4-Color, CMYK)

Size: 8 1/4" x 10 3/4" image area, plus 1/4" bleed all around (total area including bleed is 8 3/4" x 11 1/4"). Allow space for the Blurb and Masthead within the image area.
Fee: $200

Inside Art (3-Column, Grayscale)

Size: 7 3/8" wide x 3" high
Fee: $90

Deadlines:
Final art is due 2 weeks after the assignment date.

You can expect to receive payment from six to eight weeks after the publication date of the issue in which your art appears. No sales tax applies, since ComputorEdge is a free publication.
